What is a Carbon Laser Facial?
Also known as the China Doll or Hollywood facial, the Carbon Laser Facial is a gentle treatment that deeply cleanses, exfoliates and rejuvenates your skin without needles or surgery.
A thin layer of liquid carbon is applied to your face, where it sinks into the pores and binds to oil, dead skin cells and impurities. A laser, similar to Laser Genesis, is then passed over the skin. The carbon absorbs the light and is vaporised, taking everything it has bonded with along with it.
Your treatment also includes an enzyme exfoliation before the carbon mask to prep the skin, and finishes with a quality hydrating sheet mask and a relaxing decolletage massage after the laser.
The result is skin that looks instantly brighter and feels smoother, with tighter pores, softer fine lines and a more even texture. You can return to your day straight after your appointment.

Consultation

Double cleanse and exfoliation
We begin with a luxurious double cleanse followed by an enzyme exfoliation, gently lifting away dead skin cells and prepping your skin for treatment.
Carbon mask
A fine layer of liquid carbon is applied and left to settle into the pores, where it attaches to oil, debris and dead skin cells.
Laser pass
The laser glides over your face. The carbon absorbs the light and is gently vaporised, clearing the pores and stimulating collagen beneath the surface.
Hydrate and massage
A quality hydrating sheet mask is applied along with a relaxing decolletage massage, leaving your skin calmed, nourished and glowing.

Naomi's path into skin started long before My Escape. She spent years in sales and marketing across consumer and business industries while researching skincare obsessively, reading every article she could find and exploring products and treatments from around the world, always wanting to understand why skin behaves the way it does.
That passion led her to complete a Diploma in Beauty Therapy, and in May 2022 she bought My Escape Skin Spa. She has not looked back. Helping people feel more confident in their skin, calmer in their bodies and supported on their journey is the most rewarding part of what she does.

Does the Carbon Laser Facial hurt?
No. Most clients describe a light warmth and a gentle snapping sensation as the laser passes over the carbon. It is comfortable and requires no numbing.
Is there any downtime?
None. Some clients notice a little mild redness that settles within about 30 minutes, then you can return to your normal routine straight away.
Do I need to prepare my skin beforehand?
No prior skin prep is required. Every treatment begins with a luxurious double cleanse and enzyme exfoliation in spa, so there is nothing you need to do before you arrive.
How long does the appointment take?
Allow up to 60 minutes, which includes your consultation, the double cleanse and exfoliation, the carbon mask, the laser pass, and the hydrating sheet mask with decolletage massage.
How many treatments will I need?
You will see a visible glow after one session. For lasting improvement in pores, texture and fine lines, a course of treatments spaced a few weeks apart is often recommended. Your therapist will advise what suits your skin.
Who is it suitable for?
